Unique Ways to Showcase the Seating Chart | The Empire Room Venue

October 30, 2019

The Empire Room Venue

The Empire Room Venue

Are you trying to figure out how to display your seating chart at The Empire Room venue? There are so many options, some DIY, some you have to buy. We have compiled and wanted to share our favorite seating chart ideas with you for inspiration!

  • Use twine and a clothespin to hang each name up. Guests find their name and take their card that will guide them where to sit. You could even add a small, dried flower to the clothespins for guests to take home with them and use as a wedding keepsake.
  • Use engraved lucite to show your guests where to sit. This is a great option for the minimalist couple or even a formal wedding. It will be unique and see-through, so no matter where you put it, it won’t really be in the way.
  • Find an old window at an antique store and prop it up on a painting easel! Write everyone’s names and tables on it and you have the perfect rustic seating chart for your wedding. If you need to use more than one, it is so easy to do, as well!
  • If you’re a sports fan, do a bracket style seating arrangement, with each “winner” just being the next table up. Organize this into tables on the bracket and it will work out perfectly. This is a unique and fun option for you to do if you are having a more casual wedding.
  • Are you and your fiancé music lovers? Have a showcase of albums, with each album being a table. A fun thing that you can do with this is have the artist’s most popular song play for each table when it is their turn to get their food! Everyone will love this idea and have so much fun with it.

Neon signs are a fun and unique way to light up an decorate your space at our downtown Dallas venue! Another great part about them is that once your wedding is done, depending on the signs you choose to use, you can use them in your home!

  • One place that you can add a neon sign at is at your photo booth. This will make it so that it is behind guests photos and it will light up their photos in a unique way. This is a fun touch that everyone will love. Have it say a phrase or your name and it will be a keepsake for everyone to remember your wedding by.
  • Do you just want a decorative neon sign behind the couple and family table? Get a sign with a phrase that means a lot to you on it! Whether it is a favorite song lyric, a favorite quote, or just a word that you think describes your relationship, it will add a fun touch that everyone will love. You could even just have it be simple and say your last name in a script font! Neon signs are so customizable, you can get it to say anything. On top of that, with any of these ideas, you could keep them all for your house! Have it in your living room above the couch or in your bedroom above the head – it makes a great home accent piece.
  • Lastly, instead of having boring guiding signs, have neon arrows pointing guests where to go for food, drinks, the photobooth, or the bathroom! It is a unique way to show everyone where things are located.

Once you use neon at your wedding, you’ll probably see neon at your friends’ weddings after yours! We’re excited to see how you use neon signage at your wedding with us.

Minimalist Wedding Inspiration | Versatile Wedding Venue

October 16, 2019

Versatile Wedding Venue

Versatile Wedding Venue

Minimalist weddings are very in right now, and where better to have a minimalist styled wedding than at our versatile wedding venue? We have some ideas for your minimal wedding from the invites to the cake cutting.

  • For anything printed – save the dates, invitations, programs – use transparent paper. This has become more popular over time, but is still unique. This will start the style of minimalism from the first time that your guests see anything about your wedding.
  • For furniture on your big day, use unstained wooden furniture, simple metal furniture, or lucite furniture. All three of these separately, and together create a stunning look of elegance without being much. Using lucite chairs with wooden tables, for example, adds the perfect amount of differentiation without straying from minimalism.
  • At your ceremony, use a simple backdrop of vines hanging behind you. Nothing too fancy, but just enough for your guests to say “wow” when they see you and your significant other against it. Continuing with fauna, using simple accents of greenery on tables or the backs of chairs during the wedding or reception is an added touch that will still be within the theme of minimal.
  • For your cake, do a simple white buttercream cake with texture in the icing. No need for a cake-topper for a minimalist wedding, unless it is something like a wooden cut-out of your names. You could also add a small amount of greenery to the bottom or top tier of your wedding cake to finish the cake and tie in the rest of the greenery.

Are you interested in having a minimalist wedding at our versatile, blank canvas venue? We would love to talk over details and dates with you. Contact us today to start the conversation going about your minimalist wedding.

Fall Wedding Dress Styles – Downtown Dallas Wedding

October 7, 2019

Downtown Dallas Wedding

Downtown Dallas Wedding

It’s officially a new season which means a new season of fashion. This fall, there was some really unique wedding dress trends going on that we are so excited to share with you! We want you to look and feel your very best at our downtown Dallas wedding venue. Here are some trends that we have picked up on.

Going into fall means looser, more boho dresses. Think statements sleeves like bell sleeves or cap sleeves and lots of drapy lace. This look has been popular for the past few autumns and we don’t see it going away anytime soon.

Another trend to look out for is intricate beading. Whether it is Gatsby Style beading throughout the whole dress, or intricate details, beading is fully back and ready to be the center of attention. We have even been seeing intricate beading on veils which adds a fun extra look to any wedding style.

The clean and modern dress look is back, and ready to be worn. There are so many options for this look. Ours is a clean a-line or sweetheart dress. They are both beautiful styles that really put the attention on the bride herself, rathe than the dress. With sleek dresses like this, you can easily add on any accessories because it will not be clashing with the dress.

Lastly, tiered ballgowns are all the rage right now. Ball gowns are already saying “look at me!,” but tiered ball gowns just add that extra look that is so unique and beautiful. These dresses will make any bride look like the queen of the day, as she is.

We love seeing what wedding dresses you wear at our venue, and we are excited to see all of your fall looks over the next few months. Contact us to learn more about our venue!
