Fall Wedding Looks to Love – The Empire Room – Blog

Mix and Match

This season more than any other season we see brides mix and match styles. We love when a bride loves cowboy boots but also loves flower crowns and lots of glam. Mix together what you like and make your own trend. You don’t have to stick to just boho, classic, modern, or shabby chic. Take a little bit of inspiration from them all

White Collar

Bring out the high neck wedding dresses, they are perfect for the season. Add to that long sleeves and you’ll be all warm and cozy as you say ‘I do’.

Two Piece

Here in Texas fall is unpredictable – one day it can be hot and sunny, the next you need your winter coat on. That’s why we think a two piece dress is perfect for fall. Because if it turn out to be chilly you can change out the top for say a sweater or a plaid shirt if appropriate.

Head Piece

We’re talking about the kind that are made from jewelry that grace the top of your head and sometimes have a pendant that rests on your forehead. These are a more classic, modern version of the flower crown.

Fall Color Palette

Leaf Fall

colorpalettesforfall-01

Taking a cue from the leaves during this season this color palette takes on a beautiful ombre of purple to yellow hues. As an added bonus your decor will match the scenery around you. We suggest using the marsala, orange, and yellow in your bouquet and use the two shades of purple for accent.

Autumn Twist

This is the perfect palette for the couple that is looking to use fall colors with a twist. These fun pops of metallic copper, orange, and teal are paired with neutral colors of timber-wolf gray and pine green. If you’re feeling overwhelmed on how to use such a powerful palette we have some ideas for you. Ask your florist for dark greenery, maybe even use pine and ask for florals that use orange and teal and white. Next use your gray as your base and add glasses and chargers that say have a copper rim. Then add your teal napkins and florals we mentioned earlier. There you have it, an easy way to incorporate this beautiful palette into your big day.

Sweater Weather

There’s something about this neutral palette that has us feeling warm and fuzzy just like a sweater. Inspired by spools of yarn, this color palette while understated is one of our favorites because you can do so much with it. Not only that but it’s distinctly different from your typical fall palette but still feels like it fits right in with fall. We suggest using the greys and whites for the base of your palette and accenting with the green and mustard.

How to Plan the Perfect Fall Event – The Empire Room

Keep Guests Warm

Have an adorable sign that reads ‘To have and to hold in case you get cold’ with baskets of blankets for guests to pick up on their way to your ceremony. Add a hot cocoa and coffee bar at your reception for guests to get a warm beverage which will be very appreciated especially if your wedding reception is alfresco.

Fall Backdrops

To really give your wedding an awe factor you need an awe-inspiring backdrop for your ceremony. One of our favorite ideas for this is a gold leaf hanging wall. It’s magical with just the right amount of glam. It’s a good way to replace florals in your fall wedding.

Seasonal Favors

Have you thought about maybe making your favors with a fall flair? Maybe your own special pumpkin spice latte recipe or hot apple cider. Remember that basket of blankets we mentioned earlier? Consider those as a favor that does double duty.

Wedding Party Gifts

While you’re making your guests feel cozy, don’t forget about you wedding party. For gifts try giving some winter house shoes, a monogramed plaid blanket or shirt, or a hand-made scarf.
